East Tytherley Parish Council is responsible for the Play equipment and Recreation Field, making sure regular safety and insurance inspections, litter clearance, and maintenance takes place. Fundraising events are held when needed to cover additional costs.

The Children’s playground was opened in 2010 and comprises of a range of equipment to cater from toddler to teenager, picnic benches, and a large area for ball games.

The playground is constructed within the boundaries of a scheduled monument site, with the consent of Historic England.  The East Tytherley Manor House was positioned in the space between the playground and church, with the football pitch at the north end of the playing field having originally being part of a landscaped garden.  Building a playground on a scheduled monument was not an easy task, with permission needing to be gained for each hole, and an archaeologist overseeing every turn of the spade.

The children’s play areas may be used at any time, free of charge, and without application. Young children must be supervised at all times when using the equipment.

No dogs: without the express permission of the Council.

No cars: without the express permission of the Council.

Visitors are reminded that valuables should not be left on view in cars.
