Memorial Tree

A memorial tree was planted this week, kindly donated by Test Valley Borough Council, to remember those who have lost their lives to Covid and to gratefully recognise those who volunteered to help through out the pandemic.

Park Fund Raising

There is a considerable amount of remedial and renewal work that needs to be done to the play area with an initial requirement of around £10,000. This work will enable urgent tree felling work to be completed, new fencing to be erected and hedging to be planted as part of a much bigger scheme, which will see further environmental and leisure enhancements to the park. The Parish Council is very pleased to report that the bike ride from Lands End to John Groats completed by Parish Councillor Steve Edwards has raised £3000 towards this initial target. The parish council would welcome any further donations and there is a just giving site to which donations can be made or alternatively cheques made payable to East Tytherley Parish Council can be handed to any of the councillors or Sue Holder, the parish clerk. Any donations will be ring fenced for this purpose.

November Woodland Clearance

Thank you to everyone who took part in the woodland tidy this weekend, 20/21 November. Great progress was made, however we will need to arrange another day soon to continue with the good work.
